This absolutely lovely ceramic vase is a very rare piece made by Jasba in 1958 which combines slick lines with a both printed and hand-painted decor that is remarkably modern and peaceful.
Jasba was the first company founded by Jakob Schwaderlapp who then opened Ceramano that was more of a studio, producing mostly hand-made items while Jasba focused on High quality moulded ceramic. Their Jaspatina and Cortina glazes set the standard and were imitated by Fohr, Jopeko and U-Keramik. It is still in business nowadays, though it stopped producing art pottery in 1971 to concentrate on kitchen and bathroom tiles.
